Another large group with relatively little success; some of the following specific identifications may not be 100% correct.

Acantholyda erythrocephala
Found at Thetford Warren on 7/4, thought to look like this species and later confirmed by the British Museum.
Urocerus gigas (Horntail)
A female found in the house on 13/8.
Croesus septentrionalis
Many larvae looking like this were seen on a plant (stupidly not recorded) by the garden pond on 7/6.
Pontania proxima
Galls of this species first noted on White Willow leaves on 7/6 at Trowse Meadows.
Tenthredo arcuata
This or similar noted at Frost's Common on 10/8.
Athalia rosae (Turnip Sawfly)
This or similar identified at Surlingham Church Marsh on 12/8.
Netelia sp.
Ichneumon wasp in the moth-trap on 4/6, identified to genus on wing-venation from Chinery.
Ophion sp.
Ichneumon wasps in the moth-trap on 13/3 and 29/4, identified to genus on wing-venation from Chinery.
Amblyteles armatorius
A black and yellow ichneumon at the Nunnery Lakes on 6/4 was possibly this species.
Ichneumon stramentarius
This or a similar species was noted in the house on 30/4 and at Barnhamcross Common on 2/8.
Rhyssa persuasoria
Large ichneumon wasps on pine stumps on the edge of Barnhamcross Common on 5/6.
Pimpla instigator
Noted in the house on 28/9.
Diplolepis rosae
Galls of this species widespread on roses, first noted 25/2 at the Nunnery Lakes.
Neuroterus quercusbaccarum
Spangle galls on oak leaves, first noted on Barnhamcross Common on 10/10.
Andricus kollari
Marble galls on oak, first noted at Mousehold Heath on 30/1 and very common elsewhere.
Formica sp. (Wood Ant sp.)
Large ants around the hide at East Wretham Heath on 5/4 were initially identified as F.rufa but on further discussion were probably not.
Lasius flavus (Yellow Ant)
Recorded on grassland at East Wretham Heath on 5/4, probably this species.
Lasius niger (Black Ant)
Noted in the house and garden, differing from the two species at East Wretham. A number of species may have been involved.
Anoplius fuscus
A red and black sand wasp at Thetford Warren on 7/4, identified by the British Museum.
Philanthus triangulum
This apparently rare wasp was netted at Horsey Dunes on 5/8 and was identified by wing-venation from the key.
Cerceris sp.
Keyed to genus only after being netted at the Nunnery Lakes on 7/8.
Odynerus spinipes
This or similar identified in the garden on 16/6 from Chinery only.
Vespa crabro (Hornet)
Not that common this year with records of singles from Bramerton on 2/7, The Nunnery on 9/8 and Whitlingham on 3/10.
Vespula germanica (German Wasp)
First noted hibernating in the hide at the Nunnery Lakes on 8/2.
Vespula vularis (Common Wasp)
First noted in the garden on 9/4.
Colletes succinctus
This or similar noted at the Nunnery Lakes on 7/8.
Andrena fulva (Tawny Mining Bee)
A bright little bee at Caistor Fort on 29/4 looked like this species from Chinery.
Apis mellifera (Honey Bee)
An infestation at The Nunnery on 7/6 allowed a good look at some of these.
Bombus pascuorum (Common Carder Bee)
Identified in the garden on 11/3.
Bombus hortorum (Large Garden Bumblebee)
Identified at The Nunnery on 9/3.
Bombus lucorum
Identified in the garden on 12/3 and at Marsham Heath on 21/4.
Bombus lapidarius (Large Red-tailed Bumblebee)
Netted at the Nunnery Lakes on 16/3.
Bombus terrestris
Identified at Rockland Broad on 20/4.

Scyliorhinus caniculus (Lesser Dogfish)
Evidence of the species only was recorded, with small "mermaid's purses" recorded along the beach at Horsey on 13/2 and Winterton on 5/3.

Esox lucius (Pike)
One seen in a pool under Whitlingham viaduct on 1/5.
Leuciscus cephalus (Chub)
The larger fish commonly seen from the bridges over the Little Ouse by The Nunnery were apparently this species.
Leuciscus leuciscus (Dace)
The smaller fish commonly seen from the bridges over the Little Ouse by The Nunnery were apparently this species.
Abramis brama (Common Bream)
One was watched being landed by a fisherman at Rockland Staithe on 6/8.
Anguilla anguilla (European Eel)
One was seen being eaten by a Cormorant at Whitlingham Great Broad on 13/2.

Bufo bufo (Common Toad)
Singles were recorded at the Nunnery Lakes on 21/3, The Nunnery on 25/8, Hockering Wood on 23/9 and Horsey Dunes on 23/9.
Bufo calamita (Natterjack Toad)
One juvenile in a dune slack pool at Winterton on 5/8.
Rana temporaria (Common Frog)
The first of the year in the garden pond appeared on 23/2, with one found sat on the perspex of the moth-trap on 6/3. Spawning and tadpoles were noted at Mousehold Heath on 2/4 and further records were from Lopham Fen on 25/8 and two on a boggy hillside at Glen Shee ski area on 1/9.

Triturus cristatus (Great Crested Newt)
Excellent views of one in a puddle after dark on 23/9 at Horsey Dunes.
Triturus vulgaris (Smooth Newt)
Singles were noted at Surlingham Church Marsh on 26/8 and at Hockering Wood on 23/9.

Lacerta vivipara (Common Lizard)
Recorded on five occasions, at Barnhamcross Common on 25/4, Ambersham Common on 6/5 (two), Frost's Common on 12/7, Horsey-Winterton on 5/8 and Thetford Warren on 16/8.

Order Ophidia

Natrix natrix (Grass Snake)
Recorded at the Nunnery Lakes on 27/4 and 13/6, by the River Thet in Thetford on 2/6 and at Upton Fen on 22/6.
Vipera berus (Adder)
Excellent views of one basking at a known stake-out in Brandon Country park on 20/3. Also, one nearly stepped on at Buxton Heath on 3/6.
